Dan Ausley, a life-long resident of Tallahassee and his roots run deep in the region.
In 1992, Dan began his commercial real estate career with Price Commercial Real Estate. A year later he joined the newly formed Tallahassee Land Company where he specialize in commercial real estate and real estate development. During his tenure at Tallahassee Land Company he participated in the development of BuckHead subdivision, a single-family home community in northeast Tallahassee.
During the telecommunications boom in the early 1990’s, Dan expanded his real estate services to include the location of tower sites for wireless carriers across the southeast, with Centel Cellular as his primary client. The business expanded to other providers, including Alltel, Sprint PCS, Nextel, US Cellular, AT&T, and Verizon. Eventually, his scope of knowledge of the industry was the impetus to create Ausley Harvell Group, a company totally dedicated to real estate services to the telecommunications industry, which was later renamed Vertical Solutions. Overseeing a staff of nearly 25 industry professionals at the peak of operations, Dan was instrumental in forming Big Bend Towers and constructed over 60 cellular towers throughout the southeast during a 5-year period.
In 2003, Dan joined St. Joe Land Company as a Development Director to oversee the development of new projects in the Capital Region. He worked closely with a large group of industry professionals and was responsible for residential projects from inception to sales. Dan’s territory stretched from Taylor County to Bay County.
In 2005 Dan established MASK Development, LLC., with the primary focus of real estate brokerage and development. MASK Development designed and constructed Pickett’s Landing—a river front townhome community located in Carrabelle, Florida.
More recently Dan and Geri Eaton formed The Land Group Real Estate Services, LLC. providing real estate brokerage services for commercial, acreage, and residential properties, including representation, site selection, and other services for the real estate industry.
Dan has served on numerous boards in the community including Big Bend Workforce, Holy Comforter Episcopal School Board of Trustees, and as a Director of Capital City Bank. He is earned his Bachelors Degree in economics with a minor in business from Auburn University.
